Pioneer commercial heavy duty air curtains are made up of heavy duty galvanized steel structure with attractive ABS sectional grills and fully adjustable discharge louvers. High velocity air screen is created using a powerful motor and two dual inlet centrifugal blowers. Quiet but efficient operation. Pioneer GA series air curtains plug into standard receptacle and offer a 2 speed fan selector. They are suitable for indoor use only, for doors up to 10 foot high. Blocks the heated or cooled air from leaking to the outside and also blocks odors and pests from entering inside. Air curtains are also called Air Doors or Air Screens. Air curtains or Air Doors are the perfect devices for separating two spaces from each other, and they are placed usually at the exterior entrance. Pioneer air curtains are downward-facing blower+fan modules, mounted over an opening, blowing air across the surface of the opening, which can be an entrance to a building or between two spaces conditioned at difference temperatures. The fans used are powerful enough to generate a jet of air that can reach the floor, reducing energy costs. Some applications include customer entryways, airplane hangars, cargo doors, drive through windows, restaurant doors, cold storage doors, or shipping receiving doors. The air stream the air curtain creates across the opening acts as an invisible barrier to contain an air conditioned space and reduce infiltration. Pioneer air curtains can pay for themselves in one to two years by reducing the load on the building's heating or air conditioning system. A door switch may be added, to turn the unit on and off as the door opens and closes, so the Air Curtain only operates when the door is open.

Highseer (seller) provides Pioneer products among others at a competitive price. This air curtain in particular comes with installation instructions, but there's really not much to it. Unscrew the mount plate, attach it to the wall above your door and mount the air curtain. Screw in the 4 screws to keep it in place and plug it in. We have our first unit mounted on a 10' door entry and it works wonderfully and extremely quit on the highest setting!I definitely recommend Highseer for their great products, prices, and best of all, customer support.

Before we hung it, we put it on a table and compared it to another one that was already on another door. This unit was much weaker, about four feet from the unit you could hardly feel the airflow. It has three small blowers in it with a divider between each motor across the air opening. The good one we have has two big blowers and you can feel it blowing all the way to the floor. With restocking fees and other charges, they may as well not have a return policy. I was going to return it and got the following, "We will deduct the original shipping cost, and you prepay the return shipping (and insurance if you need to be safe from transport damages), we also charge a 20% restocking fee." I would pass.
